Manual Handling [Objects]

Introduction

This course provides an insight into the risks associated with moving and handling and teaches safer lifting and carrying techniques. 

Aims

The aim is to prepare the delegates on how to risk assess and move objects safely, so that handling risks are reduced to the lowest level.

• Spinal anatomy, relevant structure and function
• Causes of back pain and other handling related injuries
• Risk assessment
• Safer lifting techniques and team handling

The course is open for everyone and caters for any environment where the handling of objects is undertaken.
