Managing Fire Safety Assessments
Introduction
This course provides key individuals in the process of Fire Risk Assessment, any employee should attend who is responsible for or may interface with the Fire Risk Assessment process.
Aims
- To provide candidates with the necessary knowledge and skills to carry out practical workplace Fire Risk Assessments as required for all workplaces.
- On completion of the course candidates will be able to conduct workplace Fire Risk Assessments and will be given full supporting documentation and knowledge to facilitate this is a professional competent manner.
Key Outcomes
- Identifying fire hazards – the materials that might fuel a fire and the ignition sources
- Evaluate the risk and decide if existing fire safety measures are adequate. Evaluate the people likely to be at risk and the actual extent of risk to those people.
- Record fire safety risk assessment information – having carried out the risk assessment all findings must be recorded.
