Fire Warden Training

Introduction

This course is designed to explain the responsibilities and duties of a Fire Warden, learning a basic level of competency, ensuring all delegates will be confident in the actions taken in the event of hearing the fire alarm or on discovering a fire.

Aims

To provide delegates the understanding, responsibilities and confidence with the appropriate actions to be undertaken in the even of hearing the fire alarm or on discovering a fire

Key Outcomes

  • Delegates will be able to state regulations relating to fire safety
  • Delegates will be able to identify fire risks
  • Delegates will be able to explain the importance of the ‘fire triangle’, extinguishers, classes of fires and methods of transmitting heat.
  • Delegates will be able to explain fire prevention and the main causes of fire
  • Delegates will be able to explain the types of fire appliances and the general use of those appliances.
  • Delegates will be proficient with fire legislation and auditing.
  • Delegates will be able to organise an emergency fire action plan.
