Introduction

This course is designed specifically to each and every individual organisation taking into consideration the organisations health and safety and fire policy.

Aims

To provide delegates with a general understanding and knowledge of fire safety within their working environment.

• Delegates will be able to state regulations relating to fire safety
• Delegates will be able to identify fire risks
• Delegates will be able to explain the importance of the ‘fire triangle’, extinguishers, classes of fires and methods of transmitting heat.
• Delegates will be able to explain fire prevention and the main causes of fire
• Delegates will be able to explain the types of fire appliances and the general use of those appliances.
• Delegates will be able to experience a smoke-filled environment.
